Nika Water
Jeff Church is the founder of Nika Water Company, a social enterprise that donates 100% of its profits to clean water projects and poverty alleviation projects around the world. Nika has completed water well and school projects in Sri Lanka, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Nicaragua and San Diego. Thus far through its efforts Nika has provided clean water to more than 6,500 people.
Church speaks passionately and often about social entrepreneurship and how sustainability through a triple bottom line approach is a key towards ending societal problems and challenges. During the past twelve months a few of the universities that he has spoken include the Harvard Business School, Georgetown McDonough School of Business, the University of San Diego, Harvard College, Wellesley College, Brandeis University and the University of Southern California School of Business. Subjects spoken on include; leadership, finding your passion and the coming wave of social entrepreneurship.
Numerous articles on Nika and Church have been written, including an article in Entrepreneur Magazine in November 2010. In 2011 Jeff and his wife Linda completed their first book titled A Thirst for Change: How Social Entrepreneurship can Solve Societies most Challenging Issues.
In addition to leading Nika, Church is the CEO and owner of Flank Digital; a San Diego based Internet development company. Church also has had a successful career in buying, building and selling various businesses. He earned an M.B.A at Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Accounting at Michigan State University. In 1983 he became a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Ohio.
