Polly Sumner is president of global services and chief adoption officer at salesforce.com.
Sumner has more than 20 years of executive management experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining the San Francisco-based salesforce.com, she has served as president of global services, consulting and industry information services at communications software and services company, Telcordia, headquartered in Piscataway, NJ. She has also worked as an independent consultant with Warburg Pincus from July 2003 to January 2006. Prior to this, Sumner also served as president of Alphablox Corporation, an analytics software company, from 2002 to 2003. During her presidency, the company grew from $5 million to $25 million in two years and was eventually acquired by IBM in 2004. She has also worked for Oracle, McDonnell Douglas, and IBM.
Sumner earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and political science from Northern Arizona University and a Masters of Science from American Graduate School of International Management, in Glendale, AZ.
