Alyssa Ravasio is the founder and CEO of Hipcamp, a comprehensive resource for outdoor stays, from national parks to blueberry farms. Hipcamp partners with private landowners to unlock more ways for people to get outside.

After creating her own Digital Democracy major at UCLA, Ravasio went on to work for the US Department of State’s International Information and Communication Policy department, where she was a member of the Net Freedom Task Force and worked on initiatives in cloud computing, internet policy, and the economic impact of internet censorship. She later held leadership positions in operations and marketing for several organizations before founding Hipcamp in 2013. In addition to leading Hipcamp, she is an active member of the Outdoor Industry Association’s Recreation Advisory Council, which supports public policy strategies that encourage the protection, acquisition, and maintenance of public lands, while promoting and protecting access to outdoor recreation.
