Ali Ghodsi is the CEO and co-founder of Databricks, a leader in data and AI. He pioneered the data intelligence platform built on a lakehouse architecture, revolutionizing analytics and AI for global organizations. Prior to becoming CEO, he served as the VP of engineering and product management.

Ghodsi has over 20 years of experience in AI and computer systems research. He co-created Apache Spark, an analytics engine, and is an adjunct professor at UC Berkeley and on the board at UC Berkeley’s RiseLab. He holds a PhD in distributed computing from KTH/Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden and an MBA from Mid-Sweden University.
