Edith Harbaugh, CEO, LaunchDarkly

“I started off in engineering, was frustrated that smart people kept building products no one wanted, so became a product manager to build what people wanted,” says LaunchDarkly CEO and co-founder Edith Harbaugh in an interview published last year on Medium. “I then saw that you could build the right thing, but if no one knew about it, it didn’t exist. So I also got into marketing.”

An outgrowth of Harbaugh’s passion for customer-centered product design, LaunchDarkly is a platform that helps software teams release code, monitor and manage features, and make data-driven decisions about functionality. The company has gained over 700 customers, from BMW to IBM and FuboTV, and in March raised a $44 million Series C round led by Bessemer Venture Partners.

In addition to running LaunchDarkly, Harbaugh is the host of To Be Continuous, a podcast aimed at the software development community.

This appearance by Edith Harbaugh is part of the Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders series. Join us live as we bring founders, investors and industry influencers to center stage and invite them to share what it takes to become a disruptor.
