Rule 1: Now is a Great Time to Start a Company

Though the market is depressed making funding is harder to raise, there are some real advantages to starting a company in the current climate. Good people are easier to find, VCs have a lot more time and see a lot less deals, real estate and advertising are a lot cheaper, and, finally, if you manage to start a company today and survive the worst of times, your company is in a very good position when the economy picks up.
